A note for your oncology team
Your patient has chosen to have acupuncture alongside your care. Here is what that means.
What we do
We offer fine-needle acupuncture, ear seeds and acupressure, in short and quiet visits planned around treatment dates. We do not change, advise on or comment on treatment plans or medicines.
What we ask
With the patient's written permission, we ask for the treatment plan in broad terms, any restrictions on needling and the latest blood counts. We follow the precautions on our precautions page.
What we share
With written permission, a short note after the first visit saying what we did and what we noticed. We share nothing else, and nothing without that permission.
What helps us most
Treatment dates
Cycle dates and surgery dates, so we place visits between them.
Recent blood counts
The latest numbers, or a line saying what is safe to do.
Any restriction
An arm, a site or a device we should avoid.
